This 4/20, two forward-thinking brands are coming together to celebrate the holiday while empowering the industry's next generation of changemakers.

Wyld, America’s top-selling cannabis edibles brand, and NuProject, an organization focused on programs that increase successful outcomes for cannabis entrepreneurs and professionals of color, have teamed up to host the "High On A Cannabis Career" panel. Exploring the intersections of race, business, and cannabis, this virtual gathering will facilitate meaningful discussions about how people of color can develop successful careers in this evolving industry.

The event will be oderated by NuProject Founder Jeannette Ward Horton, the panel will feature the following industry leaders: Dasheeda Dawson (Cannabis Program Supervisor, City of Portland), Cedric Haynes (Associate Vice President, Government Relations, WeedMaps), Richard Ng (Director, Social Equity and Community, Cookies) and (Jonathan Ross, Community Relations Manager, Wyld). Following the panel, attendees can gain further insight from panelists during their "Meet and Greet" job fair.

The U.S. cannabis industry is expected to grow to $35 billion in 2022 and provide jobs for more than 400,000 people. But unfortunately, people of color are still vastly underrepresented in many areas of the cannabis business. Wyld has aimed to address this issue through its work with NuProject, Mudbone Grown, Juneteenth Oregon, and several other organizations that seek to empower marginalized communities of color that have been disproportionately impacted by the War on Drugs.

Wyld and NuProject are committed to empowering industry professionals of color and aim to have as many attendees register as possible. To achieve this goal, this event is being offered free of cost on April 20, 2022, from 7-9 p.m. ET to all interested participants.
