Grenco Science is the maker of a series of portable vaporizers. And in giving back to the community, Grenco Science established the Charity Series, a collection of products tied to nonprofit organizations wherein a portion of net proceeds are donated with each purchase; and the Artist Series, an installment of collaborations with artists and brand ambassadors.

What do you think are the biggest misconceptions cannabis industry?
That the barrier of entry is low to get into the space and that everyone is easily making money. The cannabis industry is very young but its roots are deep and the market is growing at an exceptional rate. You need to be hungry and stay focused to be successful just like any other business. As the market continues to grow, you need to continue to innovate to stay relevant and compete against the also growing and talented competition.
How is your business innovating?
When we founded the company in 2012, we were sourcing all of our products and we were primarily a concentrate vaporizer brand. As of 2015, all of our is design is in-house, we control our production and we expanded our product offering into dry herb vaporization. This year, we launched the GPen Gio, our first the pre-filled closed cartridge system, which is now available in 10 states in the US, making it the most distributed proprietary system on the market. We will only continue to add more to our product line and extend our reach across the market as it grows.
What was the biggest hurdle you had to overcome in your business?
In any business, there will be unique obstacles you will need to navigate. There is a whole list of little nuances and curveballs that the world of manufacturing consumer electronics can throw at you. We are able to overcome this by having boots on the ground at the factory level for quality assurance, doing routine visits to our factory, and bringing our design team in-house to control our intellectual property.
What is your favorite aspect of working in this industry?
The untapped nature of the market and the willingness for people to collaborate. There is no shortage of talented people in this industry that just want to make great products and make life easier for other people. Whether that's with the products they sell, the music they play, or plants that they grow.
What inspires you?
We surround myself with people from all walks of life, in fashion, music, and business that inspire us every day. We use that inspiration and those learnings in our livee and business. Honestly, just the satisfaction of taking something from an idea and concept and seeing the vision through to its completion is it’s own inspiration that drives us as well.
