What do you think are the biggest misconceptions cannabis industry?
Opinions on cannabis are changing--a majority of Americans support legalization, and most everyone has a friend or relative who is benefiting from cannabis therapy. However, there is still a large portion of the population--100 million people by some estimates--who believe cannabis is unsafe, ineffective, and ignore its potential. We recognize these concerns, and believe through proper formulation, innovative medicine delivery formats, good manufacturing, and quality-control practices that people can leverage cannabis safely and effectively.
How is your business innovating?
Technology and education. We innovate by introducing new medicine-delivery formats to improve usability and dosing efficacy. Our goal at Therabis is to make product administration easy by eliminating the guesswork. We also innovate via our best-in-class educational platform that uses website, video, point-of-sale, and seminars to socialize a responsible cannabis message.
What was the biggest hurdle you had to overcome in your business?
Hemp stigma and market acceptance. While most people have heard of hemp, their knowledge is only inches deep. Our goal is to socialize the benefits of cannabis through best-in-class education. The more people properly educated, the more cannabis is socially accepted.
What is your favorite aspect of working in this industry?
Experiencing the adoption of cannabis as safe, effective, and legitimate substitute for pharmaceutical products.
