Marisa Lazo quiere que todas las mujeres dejen de pedir disculpas por ser ambiciosas. La jalisciense fundó Pastelerías Marisa en 1992, que actualmente es la cadena de pastelerías y helados, sin franquicias, más grande de México, con más de 90 sucursales, familia de marcas que emplea a más de 1000 personas.

En 2019 crea Fundación Marisa, con el propósito de contribuir al desarrollo integral de las mujeres y para la igualdad de oportunidades. Marisa reconoce el valor de la participación ciudadana como la principal herramienta de transformación social, por lo que forma parte de diversos Consejos Empresariales, Académicos, Instituciones Financieras y Organizaciones de la Sociedad Civil, así como del fondo de capital semilla GAIN.

Hoy esta empresaria, -que ha recibido diversos premios y reconocimientos por su labor social y de emprendimiento; entre ellos, trayectoria empresarial 2015 ENDEAVOR de México e EY Entrepreneur of the year 2016 -, se suma al tanque de inversionistas de Shark Tank México en búsqueda de nuevos emprendimientos a los que impulsar.
